Somewhere out there you’re living my other life,
doing the things I never could do.
10 to the 100 light years removed,
can’t love myself so I’ll love you.
There’s a world where I make the best decisions
and give half to charity.
Every song I write will be about rockin’!
I won’t be squeezed by anxiety.
(Somewhere out there you’re...)
Somewhere I speak with proper grammar,
and I never hide behind humor.
Where I always have better rhymes than that.
And I said I loved them when I had the chance.
We all need something to hold on to.
Na na na etc.
There’s an Earth where I go to brunch on Sundays,
talk to people, and express my feelings.
I bet I would even find religion!
Well, you may need a bigger telescope for that.
The debut LP from Chicago's Lightleak is taut, carefully composed indie rock that doesn't lose any urgency to its intricate arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 23, 2021

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
